Rabdentse Ruins

The Rabdentse Ruins are the remains of the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim, which stood from 1670 to 1814. The capital was destroyed by invading Gurkha forces in the 18th century, and today only the well-maintained ruins of the palace and chortens remain. The site is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India.
