Frequently asked questions

Is this trip suitable for seniors or young children?

Yes, this is a "Leisure & Culture" focused itinerary. While there is some walking involved at the Rabdentse Ruins (approx. 20-minute walk through the forest) and stairs at the Skywalk and Waterfalls, the pace is relaxed. If you are traveling with elderly guests, we can skip the strenuous hikes and spend more time at the monasteries or the Bird Park.

Can I visit both Yuksom and Singshore Bridge on Day 4?

Unfortunately, no. Yuksom (History) and Singshore Bridge (Adventure) are in different directions from Pelling. To do justice to the locations and ensure you return before sunset, you must choose one excursion for Day 4. If you wish to cover both, we recommend adding an extra night to your package.

Do I need special permits for the sightseeing points?

Indian Nationals: You do not need a permit to enter Pelling, but the specific sightseeing loop on Day 2 (Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchenjunga Falls) falls under a restricted zone. Your driver will arrange this local pass for you. Foreign Nationals: Yes, you need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) to enter Sikkim. We can assist you in obtaining this at the Melli or Rangpo checkpost.

What type of vehicle is recommended for these roads?

The roads to West Sikkim, especially near the Skywalk and Waterfalls, can be steep and narrow. We strongly recommend hiring a large vehicle (like an Innova, Xylo, or Scorpio) or a robust hatchback (like a WagonR). Small sedans often struggle with the ground clearance needed for the Pelling-Rimbi route.

What is the best time to see the Himalayan Monal at the Bird Park?

The Sidkeong Tulku Bird Park (visited on Day 3) is best visited in the morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM when the birds are most active. The park houses over 200 species, so bringing binoculars is highly recommended!

Can I walk on the Skywalk if I am afraid of heights?

Yes! The Pelling Skywalk is extremely safe. While the center of the bridge is made of transparent glass to offer thrilling views, the sides usually have solid railings and non-glass sections. It is a wide bridge, so you can walk comfortably without looking down if you prefer.
